osirisx3r0 I've been looking for quite some time for something I didn't think existed: death metal Deafheaven. This is about as close as I've gotten. How these guys have gone so far under the radar is beyond me. A couple minutes of this album and I knew I needed the whole discography. Favorite track: Darkness in the Light.

unriellistic Calming, beautiful and unique post-death metal.

Brandon Corsair Gorgeous and inventive death/doom that takes a well-trodden genre and twists it into something very, very special. What an impressive showing of force. Highly recommended not just for fans of the more gorgeous side of this genre but even to fans of Volahn or My Bloody Valentine. Favorite track: Cascading Flesh.

ghOsty Lost my little brother this week, this album helped me channel my grief. Especially the "The Disease That Is Time"

1.
Ending every night Dreams I can’t forget Fragments lost in my puzzled mind As if I were still standing there Emotional surge Faint reminder of pain But never a clear sign of its source As they were, they are no more In fragments, my life nevermore I wish to live that moment again Alter what time has gained Faces they rust Like leaves, they eventually fall Twilight draws its rays of pain on my soul Blinding me of what’s to come So distant that they already know the call Debilitating slow Infinity eventually comes
2.
Winds blow life and then subside Flicker reminder adorned the hollow Presence I know Do you hide behind the still Poured on me Slow and cascading Blood coagulated Rusting red deep disgorge Culmination of time Banishing at each depth In cerulean night Lost adrift these tideless seas I carry my grief and hope I don’t drown
3.
Like the night in which this was composed All is quiet, but the mind is torn Endless cacophony directs my core Expressing in the only way it knows Melodies of my prophetic morose But as they paint soundscapes to me They don’t evoke the pain within They fall flat in the sand and wash away Grain by grain, note by note Lost in the void of an expressionist dream Mind, body, and soul at peace Matter dies, not the spirit
4.
I rest under Cold and dark I can finally be Alone No more In darkness I drift Currents of mine Undertow Lifeless, my joy Kiss me For I must go In the light I feel I see I listen Excused from that I didn’t choose Liberated, I’m complete An individual In flesh no more Pure freedom No more tears No more pain Self expression In darkness They feel They see They listen A sincere goodbye Look for me in darkness For I’m the darkness in the light
5.
Slowly it’s drifting
My passage from this dream inverting the winds
The glimmer no longer exists Time assuming the riff of my doom Shadows of leaves eternally bloom This forest so vast, the beauty surreal The caress of the winds cradles my fall Into the bleakness where Iʼm blind
The presence of grief rains upon me Majestic the ground that I lay on So tender and sueding Iʼve forgotten Iʼve died Grasping the soil to blanket my corpse
I close my eyes and start a new dream Running to feel the warmth of the sun Eclipsing the darkness this land entails Admiring myself resting in peace
I ponder my body that no longer sleeps

"It is a masterpiece of underground metal that I would like people who do not know metal to listen to." -Closed Eye Visuals

"Tideless manages to embark us on his cosmic trip where extreme brutality and emotional harmonies are one. Between hypnosis, feeling of immensity and heaviness, this first album gives off a unique and striking atmosphere with the power of seduction which is reinforced listen after listening. Superb discovery!" - eklektik
